How to stop strip eyelashes from lifting in the corners

Fluffy strip eyelashes

Are your strip lashes lifting? Want to know how to get the inner/outer corners of false lashes to stick?

Besties, we're here to help. Here is a step by step guide.

First things first...

Why are my false lashes lifting?

  • Wet mascara - When it comes to sticking false lashes. Wet mascara is not your friend.

  • Lash band is too long - did you forget to trim to size?

  • Sticking false lashes to your eyelid - though this is a popular placement choice, it can cause the lash strips to lift.

  • Lash glue is still wet when applying - did you give your glue enough time to become tacky?

How to stop strip lashes lifting:

  1. Mascara before Lashes - Applying your mascara first creates a supportive base for your lashes to rest on and the glue to cling to.

  2. Wait for your mascara to dry - If you apply strips onto wet mascara they may not stick.

  3. Cut your lashes to size - if your falsies are too long, the band will not fit seamlessly on your eye and any over hang may result in lifting in the corners.

  4. Glue them down properly - do not (We repeat) do not, place your lashes on while the glue is still white. Wait around 20-30 seconds or until the glue has gone clear and tacky before placing your lashes onto your eye.

  5. Glue your strips on top of your lashes not your eyelid - this one is personal preference and there is no right or wrong here however when looking to stop strip lashes from lifting, lashes glued to the eyelid have more chance of peeling up in the corners.

We hope our tips have helped stop that pesky inner/outer corner lash lift.
